wskrsnwings - It was a very foggy morning but that did not keep E17 & E18 from honing their survival skills, alert to any activity that might mean food. E17 perched with M15 in the OCT and both perched by M in the DSPS. E17 started to follow M when he left but got involved chasing a crow... almost caught it. E18 tracked a possible food opportunity and E17 followed soon after. E17 returned quickly but E18 was away for a while. Both saw M15 land on the ground with food in the west pasture and fought for the prey. E17 got it while E18 waited for an opportunity to steal. E17 wisely took the food to a tree to eat & was pestered by smaller birds. So he moved to another tree and E18 flew there too. They each stole and ate the food with E18 eventually returning to the nest. It was a great day of learning for 103 day old E17 & E18. Thank you SWFEC, hosted by Dick Pritchett Real Estate, for providing & maintaining suitable trees & environment for this Bald Eagle Family. www.SWFLEagleCam.com Thank you to Dick Pritchett Real Estate (SWFEC), Church of the Nazarene, Eagle Landing & several friends for allowing me to film on their premises.
