It was a beautiful, sunny and breezy start to the morning at the nest. Ozzie’s early morning delivery arrived with fur today and looked like an opossum who possibly met its demise crossing the road. E4 tracked Dad’s flight in and rushed to see what the food for the day was. E4 watched as Dad de-furred and waited to be fed. Mom stepped in to finish the meal and E4’s crop was very full.
Ozzie had free time today, took a bath in the pond and perched in one of the dead trees near the nest tree. Harriet delivered a fresh fish but E4 was still full from the morning. Harriet flew off to soar in the eastern skies with the vultures. E4 looked on maybe longing to fly with the big Eagles, too. E4 exercised wings, walked tall, rested part of the day and spent time watching the world below. The fish was fed to E4 in the early evening. All is well in the Eagle Family nest.
