M15 and F23 are entering their second season as a bonded Eagle pair. They have been busy over the last few weeks preparing for Season 13, which officially starts on October 1. F23 was seen in the area from time to time over the summer. M15 returned from his vacation around August 24. M15 and F23 arrive at the nest early, add sticks, and discuss placement. F23 brought in a big “log” and added it to the center of the nest. They have been working around it and may have to add more moss and grass to cover it.
M15 and F23 head out for shady places as the day heats up. They may stop by throughout the day to check the nest and territory. They spend the overnight hours away from the nest tree. The nest work will pick up over the coming weeks since November is the usual time for laying eggs.
M15 and F23 renew and strengthen their bond as they perch together and work on the nest together. They make progress in their dedication to bringing a new generation of offspring. They have proven to be an exceptional team, and all hope is for their success. Nest Notes by dadsjazz.
