The mornings began slightly foggy but turned sunny and hot quickly. The weekend visitors to the E4’s neighborhood included 2 legged, 4 legged, furry and winged creatures of all sizes. Many were happy to see E4 and others, including the blue jays and crows, were not. E4 was confident in flights around the pasture stopping to perch and play on all the favorite trees until the small birds went into attack mode. Although Ozzie and Harriet were not in plain view, they were most likely perched in the shady comfort of the tall pines. Harriet was spotted on her often visited power pole off in the distance. E4 ventured beyond the pasture and out of sight possibly looking for Mom and Dad. Ozzie and Harriet may be teaching E4 hunting lessons and feeding at locations other than the nest.
E4 was comfortable at the pond getting drinks, taking cooling dips and also taking a full bath. Ozzie delivered a fish to the nest on Sunday possibly as a reward for all of E4’s new abilities. Mom joined E4 to share the meal. Ozzie and Harriet have done a wonderful job teaching E4 valuable lessons and E4 has been an excellent learner.
