Lady Hawk - Harriet and M15 continue to build their nest adding soft grasses which will help insulate the eggs and future eaglets. Harriet arrives first with a clump of grasses and spreads them on the nest. M gets up and helps her spread them - then flies off to the pasture snag for a shift change. He comes back with grasses too and adds to the softness of the nest bowl. He heads to the attic before flying off and returning with more fluff! Harriet is not ready to give up incubation so M will head to the attic. We get to see another vulture eating the carrion in the pasture at 8:16. Harriet gets up to roll the eggs and then we have some excellent zooming of her face beginning at 11:37. Notice the hole in the back of her tongue from 13:14-13:34 - that is called the glottis. The glottis is the entrance to the larynx and trachea which is known as the windpipe. The glottis closes during swallowing. These actions help prevent choking when swallowing large pieces of prey. We also see Harriet's tongue and bubbles of saliva in addition to the detail in her eye and beak. Harriet will pull grass up around her and put on her back while incubating at 16:18 as she continues to get comfy on her eggs. M arrives with a stick and we have another shift change and then some amazing closeups of M's face and eyelashes at 20:00! Simply amazing! Thank you for watching!
