SWFL Eagles_ The Nest Tree & Pastures Look Great After "Elsa" Passes Through 07-08-21

wskrsnwings - I visited the nest area this morning to check on how the area fared after Tropical Storm/Hurricane Elsa passed through 7/6-7/7. The nest tree & both pastures looked great. The nest looked untouched with even taller grasses showing in the nest (thanks to the multitude of rain associated with the storm). Any standing water has dried up and there were no fallen or broken branches from the trees or snags. N2 (nest 2) may have some dislodged sticks but it was hard to tell with the vines growing over the right side of the nest. I did not see Harriet or M15 but that is not unusual in the summer/non-nesting season with no eaglets to care for. Other birds were seen perching in the pasture trees including White Ibis, Boat-tailed Grackles, Crows and Loggerhead Shrike. The three horses were enjoying the morning by the pasture pond. Thank you SWFEC, hosted by Dick Pritchett Real Estate, for providing & maintaining suitable trees & environment for this Bald Eagle Family. www.SWFLEagleCam.com Thank you to Dick Pritchett Real Estate (SWFEC), Church of the Nazarene, Eagle Landing & several friends for allowing me to film on their premises.
