E4 began the day doing the things curious and growing eaglets do. Careful observance of Mom and Dad teaches E4 to move some sticks and grasses, look for “nestovers” and work on self feeding. Wing exercising, stretching and standing are improving as E4 gains more strength and balance. E4’s day was mostly peaceful and serene. E4 is very alert tracking Mom and Dad’s food deliveries and rushing in for a grab at the meal. Mom and Dad seem encourage E4 to help build skills needed to survive in the wild.
Ozzie and Harriet’s catches for the day were a variety of fish and other prey. Harriet also delivered some grasses for the nest. In the early evening Mom and Dad arrived on the nest for family dinner and voiced the alert to a possible intruder. E4’s protection and survival is first and foremost for Ozzie and Harriet. E4’s is learning all the lessons that will carry through the on the journey to becoming a majestic Eagle one day.
