E21 and E22 are just over three weeks old and are sprouting up and out everywhere. They have big yellow feet and wings with the beginnings of flight feathers emerging. They are tall enough to peek above the nest rails at the world below. E21 and E22 explore the nest, work on balance, and practice flapping growing wings. Days are composed of eating and sleeping, which results in tremendous growth spurts.
Harriet and M15 are providing abundant food supplies for their ravenous babies. E21 and E22 have sampled a variety of fish and prey. They eagerly step up for meals and linger long past bulging crops to grab just one more bite of food. Harriet and M15’s hunting and fishing success allow for a well-stocked pantry, and everyone gets their share of the feast.
Harriet and M15 protect and defend their precious family from all threats or intrusions. E21 and E22 spent their first night alone in the nest under the watchful eyes of Mom and Dad perched above them. These exceptional Eagle parents offer their growing babies shade from the hot sun and comforting shelter from the wind and rain.
