Harriet kept her precious eggs safe, dry and warm from the early morning rain storms. She spent a few minutes flapping her wings trying to dry out her soggy feathers. Ozzie arrived with some grassy nest material, maybe in anticipation of their coming baby chicks. Later in the afternoon Harriet brought her favorite greenery back to the nest, ‘Tis the season after all.
In the early evening Harriet began vocalizing and looking off to the pond area. She saw that Ozzie was there eating something. She waited and called out for him again. Being hungry and impatient, she flew back to him. Ozzie being hungry himself tried to elude Harriet approaching and flew back to the nest with his meal. Harriet was in quick pursuit of Ozzie. Harriet being Harriet got her way and the meal. Ozzie did manage to steal a few bites as they finished his dinner on the nest. Ozzie took over incubating so she could finish “her” meal. Harriet flew to the camera 2 tree and as night fall came she flew to the nest tree and then settled back into the nest. Ozzie was perched above protecting his family. The clock is ticking down to beautiful babies.
