Everyone was awake and moving early on this warm morning. E3 and E4 seemed patiently waiting for their meal delivery as Harriet was perched in the nest tree. The E’s flapped their little and growing wings and scooted around the nest until the rain began. Without Mom or Dad to serve as umbrella they shielded each other from the warm rains.
All was well until Ozzie delivered prey to the nest. It looked as if E4 lunged forward with a mini mantle but then stronger E3 got to the food. E4 protected its self with its drop and roll into a ball submissive maneuver. As all worried about E4 getting its share of the food, Ozzie delivered a fish of which E4 had a portion after E3 slept. We will never know the workings of nature. If we understand, things are as they are. If we do not understand, things are as they are.
