Ozzie and Harriet flew off in different directions early leaving E4 in charge of the nest. E4 took advantage of the breezy day with a lot of wing flapping, with nest renovation and rest in between . E4 is using talons to grasp and move sticks and pine cones around the nest. Mom and Dad made short visits to the nest, Mom arrived with sticks and Dad with small food objects. E4 snatched one such morsel of food from Dad and gulped it down quickly.
Ozzie dropped in with a whole fish in the afternoon. E4 studied the fish, used talons to grab and drag the fish, carried it across the nest and as hunger grew, finally tore into the fish. Mom arrived and helped E4 at dinner time with feeding. E4 is getting closer and closer to the stage of juvenile eagle with the help of great parents Ozzie and Harriet.
