It was a cool, windy day and E4 was vocalizing early. At sunrise E4 worked out with beautiful wings while perched on the porch branch. Harriet was perched in one of the west pasture trees. Ozzie delivered a mystery meal in the morning followed by several more through the day. Harriet was quick to arrive after the food deliveries and appeared to steal the meals possibly trying to get E4 to steal them back.
The Family was together a few times today. Ozzie and Harriet were flying and hopping to the outer and upper branches of the tree. Maybe they were encouraging E4 to explore other branches of the nest tree. Mom and Dad have been spending more time in and close to the nest tree the past few days. E4 used the winds to hover and fly hop with ease to the favorite branches, showing off to Mom and Dad. All these behaviors may signal that E4 is getting ready to venture off nest tree. After all the exercising, E4 spent the cool afternoon very quiet and relaxed. There is much anticipation of E4’s coming first flight from the nest.
