At daybreak Harriet, Ozzie and E4 were all perched in the pond tree. Harriet was off toward the river to begin the day’s activities. E4 hopped from branch to branch getting closer to Dad but Ozzie soon followed Harriet out to the river. E4 spent the morning playing in the trees and practicing lessons learned while watching Mom and Dad over the months. E4 broke a pine branch and grabbed moss from the tree limbs just like Harriet and Ozzie had.
Harriet delivered a fish to the nest with E4 arriving immediately mantling and devouring the meal. E4 spent time resting in the nest in the afternoon but soon had enough of the dive bombing blue jays. E4’s day was active and filled with fine tuning skills that will very valuable in the wild.
