Weekly Nest Notes: Preparing for the Journey

Harriet and M15 prepare for a new season of offspring months in advance of their arrival. Tending to their territory, nest and each other ensure a successful environment for their survival.  Precious eggs are laid, protected and cared for by devoted Parents.  Fluffy grey Eaglets struggle out of their eggs to present themselves to the world. Dedicated Parents begin their task of rearing their young to become strong, confident and skilled Juvenile Eagles ready to take on the journey toward their majestic destiny.

Harriet and M15 have been outstanding in their efforts to provide plentiful food, impressive imprinting and many lessons for E12 and E13. In turn, they eagerly absorbed all that has been imparted to them and have grown into exceptional Juveniles. They are working on independence and life away from the security of the nest as they spend more hours in the outer limits of the territory soaring the skies and exploring new areas.

Harriet and M15 continue to randomly deliver a meal to hungry E12 and E13. They follow Mom and Dad and are learning to find their own prey. They chase each other with and away from their meal knowing the importance of protecting their catch. They will eventually join up with other Eagles and vultures which may lead to good eats. Mom and Dad may sense their great accomplishment in preparing their courageous and powerful Juveniles for life in the wild. They are capable and well armed with many tools as they heed the natural calling to depart on their own adventure in their trek to adulthood. Nest Notes by dadsjazz.
