SWFEC Nest Notes: Two Weeks Old and Sprouting All Over

Harriet and M15 watch as their precious Eaglets turn two weeks old and sprout out all over. E19 and E20 have thermal down emerging to help them regulate their body temperatures. Feet and wings seem to be growing faster than other body parts making them look awkward. They are almost too big to get under Dad and Mom for shade from the Florida sun or warmth over the cool nights.

Harriet and M15 deliver plentiful, nutritious food that contributes to the tremendous growth spurts E19 and E20 are experiencing. Feeding times are calmer now that they have their pecking order established. Feisty E19 and E20 still engage in a round or two of wrestling. Smart E19 and E20 watch and imprint on all the coming and going around them. They track Mom and Dad’s movements and follow the little birds flying overhead. Curious E19 and E20 expand their little world as they scoot around the nest rails for cool breezes and new views to activity outside the nest.

Harriet and M15 provide all necessities for their Family to thrive and survive. Food and security are their priorities and they excel on all levels. E19 and E20 will achieve many milestones under the exceptional care of Harriet and M15.  Nest Notes by dadsjazz
