M15 and F23 arrive on most mornings to work on the nest. They have also taken time off to do the things that Eagles do. F23 has been bringing in more materials and has become more assertive in her placement choices. Female Eagles are usually more dominant, and F23 seems to be growing into that role. M15 offers help to move a stick, and when F23 objects, he leaves her to do it.
M15 and F23 engage in many activities that shape their relationship. They focus on the nest, keep the territory secure, and watch for each other. They spend time perching together, and their mating rituals are more frequent. F23 flies into the attic branch from time to time to observe the area. Food gifts from M15 will be another indication of a pairing between them.
M15 and F23 are making great strides in nest building and bonding. M15 may be the first mate that F23 has had. F23 appears to be settling in as M15’s partner and possibly become an Eagle parent. The nest looks inviting and almost ready to hold precious eggs. M15’s savvy and expertise will hopefully help them accomplish that goal.
