M15 and F23 make themselves scarce much of the time as E23 becomes more independent and assured. They drop by to check on savvy E23, who keeps an Eagle eye out for their arrival. E23 anticipates food coming in when Dad or Momma approach the nest tree and expresses vocal disappointment if no food is delivered. They are encouraging E23 to follow them to their favorite hunting areas. E23 takes longer and farther flights throughout the area in search of them.
M15 and F23 continue to supply meals for E23. M15 will take them to different places in the pasture and tree branches. The greatest lesson for E23 will be finding food sources before honing hunting skills. F23 arrives at meal times and tries to “steal” the food but is trying to hurry E23 along to eat before another takes it. E23 fiercely protects the prey, fends off Adults, and eats quickly.
M15 and F23 provide E23 with many tools for life in the wild. E23 will remain in the territory under the guidance of M15 and F23. They have coaxed E23 in exercises that engage E23’s instincts. E23 practices and perfects behaviors and actions that will be useful in future endeavors. When the spark of adventure ignites, brave E23 will be well-prepared for the journey onward.
