M15 and F23 began their story over the late summer months of 2023 and engaged in building a bond. They became Dad and Momma, raising E23 to become a remarkable Juvenile Eagle. E23 watched, learned, and progressed through all the milestones and lessons. E23 has mastered many of the skills needed to succeed in Eagle Life.
M15 and F23 brought food to the nest, and the familiar vocal of E23 racing to the nest to claim the prey was nowhere to be heard. E23’s daily adventures have been farther from the nest and territory. E23 could have found a meal or met up with other Juveniles that captured E23’s attention. E23 was seen around the pasture less and less, which happens each year at this time.
E23 visited the area off and on over the early part of the week. E23 roosted overnight and perched in the nest tree. E23 frolicked along the pond edge and chased the ducks and other visitors. E23 balanced on a pond post, checking the water and taking in all the sights. Was this E23 giving the comfortable homefront a last look? E23 has not been in view in the territory since 2:36 pm on May 3. The Season of New Beginnings may now be that E23 has departed on the voyage to carry on a new chapter in the story of this beloved Eagle Family. Nest Notes by dadsjazz.
