E6 has shown amazing spirit and enthusiasm practicing the many lessons and skills that will be needed to thrive. Harriet and Ozzie’s abilities as Eagle parents are evident in E6’s development. Dad has proven his prowess in hunting and fishing to supply nourishment for E6’s growth and strength. Mom nurtures E6 in a patient but firm manner as she feeds, preens and seems to lead by example. Baby Steps- Nest Notes for Feb 23-March 1

E6 throws caution to the wind mastering skills learned in these seemingly short 9 weeks. E6’s courage strengthens along with wings, legs and grasping abilities. E6’s is looking more and more grown up exercising beautiful wings in the breezes and fly hopping across the nest jumping higher and higher. Harriet and Ozzie are keenly aware of E6’s activities and have been bringing more and thicker sticks to the nest. E6 seems to be encouraged to take steps up on to those “rails”. Word of the Week: Wingersizing! Nest Notes for Feb. 15-22

E6 took full advantage of the windy and cooler weather conditions last week. The gusting breezes encouraged E6 to outstretch beautifully growing wings to flap, flap, flap and fly hop around the nest. E6’s wingspan is nearly reaching the edges of the nest which is about 6 feet across. E6 even managed to gain a bit of lift off in the cool wind.
