Sunday was definitely a day of rest for Harriet and Ozzie and the two little E’s. The early morning started out windy and soggy from the rains that moved in overnight. Harriet served well as “Mombrella” to keep the little E’s cozy and dry. After yesterday’s dramatic events the atmosphere was a little lighter but Mom and Dad took some sweeping flight around the area to be safe. As the beautiful Christmas morning sunrise was arriving, Ozzie flew off toward the river for a try at fishing. Harriet and precious baby E3 were eagerly waiting for his return. Ozzie wasn’t successful in his fishing expedition, but not to worry, Harriet came to the rescue and brought a fish to the nest. Sweet Moments- Nest Activity, Videos and Photos from Dec 24

Harriet and Ozzie’s baby eaglet came into the world very strong. E3 as it is called was observed throughout the night wobbling under Mom Harriet’s tender care. First light allowed a beautiful view of the sweet little creature. Harriet seemed to be adjusting to the new arrival and at the same time still incubating their second precious egg. Waiting and Watching- Nest Activity for Nov 20

The days are quickly approaching for Ozzie and Harriet’s baby eggs to begin hatching. Today was a quiet day at the nest that began with Ozzie taking over incubation duties early in the morning. Ozzie became restless looking for Harriet who returned around noon time.  Ozzie arrived on the nest close to sunset to give Harriet a break. All is Calm- Nest Activity for Dec 18

Harriet had a late night out last night so her morning incubating time lasted a little longer. Ozzie treated his mate to a fish breakfast this morning. Harriet was very eager to eat her delivered meal. Harriet returned for her second round of egg sitting and was treated again by Ozzie with a second course of his freshly caught fish before noon.. There were beautiful flights to and from the camera 2 tree in the afternoon. H and O Christmas Tree- Nest Activity for Dec 16

In the very early morning hours Harriet was awake preening and aerating the nest bowl. She began to call for Ozzie and then flew above the nest as Ozzie arrived to take over his nest duties. Harriet stayed close to the nest area and could be heard vocalizing from a distance. When Harriet returned from one of her breaks she brought a large fresh pine bough. Harriet began calling to Ozzie before sunrise. Where art thou, Ozzie? Harriet seemed to become impatient as the morning went on. Ozzie arrived on the nest at 7:23 am, much later than he had in the past. Harriet let Ozzie know a few things before she departed the nest tree and continued to vocalize from her perch in the camera 2 tree. Hungry Harriet and 2 Fish Tails Harriet began her early morning vocalizing for Ozzie to relieve her night shift of incubating their beautiful eggs. It was reported that Harriet was on the nest for 12 hours and 45 minutes. Ozzie immediately appeared on the nest to take over his morning duties.
