The morning air was cooler and the breezes were again helping E4 to get greater heights while exercising those beautiful wings. All wait with anticipation for E4 to land on a branch. E4’s day began with the usual morning stretch and wing warm up. The day started off with light breezes that allowed E4 to lift higher. Ozzie and Harriet were found in the pasture in the late morning working on prey that Harriet brought in. It was an armadillo that may have met its demise on the road. It was too heavy to lift into the nest so they each ate from it to lighten the load. Ozzie and Harriet flew off in different directions early leaving E4 in charge of the nest. E4 took advantage of the breezy day with a lot of wing flapping, with nest renovation and rest in between . E4 is using talons to grasp and move sticks and pine cones around the nest. Mom and Dad made short visits to the nest, Mom arrived with sticks and Dad with small food objects. Higher and Higher- Nest Notes, Photos & Videos for March 8

The cooler morning started as the beautiful sunrise lit up the nest tree with a golden glow. Ground observers reported there was a sub adult in the area that flew off toward the river. E4’s wing action grows stronger allowing for greater heights to be achieved. E4 was airborne several times today. Harriet brought sticks to the nest and Ozzie provided several fish. The day started out with overcast skies. E4 was working on wing strength and endurance, getting ready for branching and eventually a first flight from the nest tree. There are new “firsts” each new day. E4 is doing very well in grabbing and mantling food deliveries. Leaps and Bounds- Nest Notes, Photos & Videos for March 5

E4 is not only growing by leaps and bounds but is also performing leaps and bounds in the nest. E4 is becoming more agile and coordinated with fly hopping from one side of the nest to the other. Prey was delivered by Dad and Mom in the morning. Meal deliveries are often a mystery and come wrapped in packages at times. Balancing Act- Nest Notes, Photos & Videos for March 4

The foggy morning may have made E4 want to sleep in today. Mom called out a few times and then flew off to begin the search for the day’s meals. E4 finally began the day with wing flapping and higher hopping around the nest. Ozzie returned with a quick food drop of which E4 made a one gulp meal. Harriet perched close by through the rainy overnight and checked on E4 several times. Morning came and a sunny day was underway for E4’s Eagle training. Mom’s early delivery was of the feathered variety. E4 tried waiting on the de-feathering process but grew hungrier and joined Mom with meal preparation.
