Harriet and M15 execute perfectly timed exchanges almost like a dance as one leaves the nest and the other arrives. They have become an efficient incubating team. Weekly Nest Notes: Contemplating the Coming Events

Harriet and M15 add the finishing touches to the nest with soft grasses and moss for their eggs and with many strong sticks for rails to secure hatchlings. M15 has become the master nest builder finding the perfect nest materials and air plant gifts for Harriet. Weekly Nest Notes- Fine Tuning the Details

Harriet and M15 are making great strides as they ready the nest. Most early mornings find them either perched in the nest tree or nearby. M15 is usually first to the nest taking notice of what materials are needed. He is then off in a flash scoping out the trees for that perfect stick or to the ground looking for more grasses. Weekly Nest Notes: Togetherness & Teamwork

Harriet and M15 have been spending more time at the nest as the season is progressing. They display their skills grabbing sticks from trees on the fly. M15 excels  in his abilities finding perfect nest materials, delivering them to the nest and placing them in just the right spot or where ever Harriet decides. An Eagle’s Life: Nest Notes for April 5-12

E6 has become an adventurous explorer of the nest territory and beyond. As each new day dawns E6 has a renewed reserve of energy and an endless sense of wonder. E6’s education to Eagle life is being well absorbed. On many days the nest appears to be used for E6’s dinner table and occasional overnight stays. A Turn of Events – Nest Notes for March 15-22

E6 is 12 weeks old and the adventurous spirit becomes more apparent as new perches in the nest tree are reached. The “spike” and the “porch” branch just off the nest were some of the favorite places E6 fly hopped to with the greatest of ease. E6 throws caution to the wind mastering skills learned in these seemingly short 9 weeks. E6’s courage strengthens along with wings, legs and grasping abilities. E6’s is looking more and more grown up exercising beautiful wings in the breezes and fly hopping across the nest jumping higher and higher. It has been a very active week 6 for E6, Harriet and Ozzie. Harriet was in a green mood as she added several branches of fresh pine needles and pinecones to the nest. E6 found a lot of self entertainment picking up and moving sticks and pinecone tossing. E6’s inquisitive gestures and ever changing features are comical at times. Just Keep Growing! Nest Notes for Jan. 25- Feb 1

E6 is 5 weeks old and has had a lot of experiences and lessons over the last week. Some conditions were changing in the nest as the weather turned windy and cooler teaching E6 to lay low and seek the shelter of Mom and Dad. Rains moved into the area and E6 learned that wet meant bath since there is no room under Mom or Dad for E6’s larger body. New Routines: Nest Notes for Jan. 19-25

Harriet, Ozzie and E6 are adjusting to the new direction of Eagle Family life since the sudden and tragic passing of E5. Their bonds are stronger than ever. E6 has shown great motivation in day to day eaglet activities.
